Loop On-Demand is a delivery app for drivers fulfilling deliveries through the Loop Platform for their employers. To use Loop’s driver app the drivers employer must have a Loop Platform account. For more info visit www.loop.co.za.
Driver’s App Key Features:
1. The driver is notified of new trips with an in-app notification that includes sound.
2. Orders within the trip are placed in an optimised sequence for delivery.
3. Delivery statuses are available for selection such as Depart, Arrived & Delivered. Arriving at the branch & customer are automated statuses.
4. The majority of statuses are functional offline allowing the driver to manually select a delivery status in poor signal areas or when data has been turned off.
5. Each order offers turn-by-turn navigation to the customer & back to the branch.
6. Depending on the driver’s employers business rules, we provide customisable options for when the driver arrives at the customer:
- Parcel QR/Barcode Scanning
- Sign on Glass
- One Time Pin
- Photo
7. Orders can be abandoned by using the order assistance menu and an abandonment reason can be selected.
8. The driver is able to call their branch, the customer and an additional contact which is configured by their employer.
9. A Trip History report is available via the main menu which provides searchable detailed records of order and trip details.
10. The driver has the ability to ‘Go on Lunch’ which pauses trips from being assigned to the device.
11. There is an SOS feature that immediately alerts the branch’s management console that the driver is in trouble and requires immediate assistance.
12. The driver app only works correctly if it can access the location of the driver all the time. Loop collects location data to enable trip allocation and driver tracking even when the app is closed. This ensures that employers are able to assign trips to drivers and are able to monitor their fleet at all times during the working day. Once a driver has logged out of the app then location data is no longer collected.
